PAS 55 ( the fore runner to ISO 55 000) is a publically available specification produced by the UK Institute of Asset Management. It was brought about by a common need for Industry to have a standardised approach to the care and management of physical assets. It has had a globally derived set of inputs and is clearly establishing itself as a cornerstone around which asset management programs are evaluated. As with anything new there are many detractors and critics of PAS 55, but one has to recognise that fundamentally it is the only standard available for organisations where physical assets are a key or critical factor in achieving business success. What is it About This 2 day course provides an end to end view of PAS 55, as well as a thorough understanding of the actions an organisation need to take to comply with this new asset management standard.
